American Resource Center & Public Library
The American Embassy's Information Resource Center (IRC) is a specialized reference and research facility designed to provide accurate, relevant, and timely information to the Ugandan public on topics of importance to the U.S.-Ugandan bilateral relationship.
Drawing on our collection of over 2,500 books, over 30 periodicals and newspapers, and a digital library of CD-ROMs and online databases, the IRC can meet your information needs. The IRC has seven Internet Access Computers available for clients' use. Additionally, the IRC can access full-text articles from hundreds of academic, professional, and popular periodicals to meet clients' research needs.
In-house use of our internet facilities and book, magazine, and video collection is open to the public free of charge. The IRC also accepts research or reference inquiries in person or via phone, fax, or e-mail. There is no charge for this service. Memberships are available for individuals or institutions that wish to borrow materials from the IRC collection.
